About Gumdrop
We make cases
for K-12 schools.
Since 2010, we’ve built rugged, custom-fit cases for the devices students and teachers rely on all day, every day.

8,000 districts.
60+ devices.
One job.
Gumdrop is part of Pioneer Square Brands, a family of protection brands founded in Seattle that also includes Brenthaven and VAULT. We started in 2010, making rugged cases for any device that needed one.
The toughest questions we got always came from schools: could a case survive a backpack, a bus ride, a hallway floor? The more we built to answer them, the clearer it became that schools needed cases designed for them from the ground up, so that’s what we focused on.

Classrooms.
Not showrooms.
A student’s Chromebook lives in a backpack, gets dropped in hallways, slides off desks, and makes the round trip home most days. We build our cases around that reality. Our DropTech line survives a four-foot drop 26 times in a row, which is about what a single school day can throw at it.
Every Gumdrop case is molded for a specific device, not a rough size category. When a district deploys Dell Chromebook 3110s, there’s a Gumdrop case built precisely for that machine. That fit is what keeps a case snug in a backpack instead of sliding around.

We test every model,
Not just the line.
A lot of brands run one test and stretch the claim across their whole lineup. We test each individual case model through TechShell, an independent third-party certification body, with drop tests, sharp edge tests, and extreme temperature tests. We’re happy to send the full report on request.
So when an IT director asks how we know a case will hold up, we can point to actual test data instead of asking them to take our word for it.
“There’s nothing your students could do to these cases that would damage the device you’re trying to protect.”
A broken device is
a student who
can't learn.
Schools invest heavily in technology, and counting on a stern warning to keep it safe rarely works out. The repair bills that follow usually cost more than good cases would have in the first place. Our job is to make sure that math never catches a district off guard.
Protect the device. Protect the budget.
Keep students learning.
