Apple iPhone Repair

What to do if you drop your iPhone!

It’s better to be prepared than to not know what to do when you finally drop your iPhone one to many times.

Who hasn’t dropped their phone at least once? If you’re like me, you’ve probably dropped it a lot more!

If you don’t have a case to protect it then chances are you will be spending a lot of money soon when either your screen cracks, or the phone is too damaged or dead to work.

To help you out, here is some information on how much it costs to repair an iPhone screen, and a screen with additional damage, through Apple if you have AppleCare+ (keep in mind that accidental damage isn’t covered by the Apple One Year Limited Warranty).

FYI: Dropping your phone would be considered an accident!!!

AppleCare+ covers two incidents of accidental damage with a service fee, as shown in the table below:

Fix iPhone if damaged

*Pricing applies only to screen repairs by Apple. Apple authorized service locations may set their own pricing.

So, if you don’t have AppleCare+ you are going to still pay at least as much as what is shown in the table, if not more. You can just contact the Apple store near you to schedule a repair appointment, or drop in and hope the line isn’t too long for walk-in service.

You can read more on the Apple support website here:

The above information is primarily for screen repair. Dropping your phone can also cause internal damage to the battery or other parts that keep your iPhone working right (Screen and additional damage columns). If Apple cannot fix the damage, that’s when you start looking at full replacement cost, which gets really expensive.

So, isn’t it worth it to just buy a case? It can save you a lot of time and money in the future! Check out Gumdrop’s iPhone 7 cases, or browse cases for older iPhone models here.
