At Gumdrop, we are a team of people dedicated to supporting K-12 school districts, classrooms, teachers and students with the tools they need to be successful. As we reflect on the events of the past year, now more than ever, is the time to come together and focus efforts to empower our community to grow and learn. With this in mind, we are extremely proud and excited to announce the Gumdrop Drops of Good Program.

Drops of Good is more than just giving back. The program is designed to not only supply schools and students with protective cases and technology accessories, but it will help to allow every kid access to their digital learning tools, keeps them connected to teachers and classmates, and removes worry about breaking or replacing school-issued devices that have become crucial to their new learning environments.

Located in Washington state, Gumdrop is invested in the Pacific Northwest and was presented with an exciting opportunity to partner with one of the country’s most well-known and kid-friendly organizations, the YMCA.

The YMCA of Snohomish County operates Virtual Learning Centers at sites across the county, helping students navigate remote learning and providing additional enrichment opportunities during the school day. Technology is necessary to facilitate the online learning process and the Y uses donated devices daily to support students learning. Once we learned about this amazing program, we knew we had to get involved!

The Gumdrop team immediately jumped-in to donate 100 cases to cover the Chromebooks used in the Virtual Learning Centers. Now, YMCA devices are protected from wear and tear and their investment is protected as well. ”Protecting devices from damage and keeping kids connected is fundamental to today’s learning environment,” said Bill Portin, Chief Revenue Officer for Gumdrop. “Gumdrop is proud to partner with the YMCA in supplying their Virtual Learning Centers with device protection for student Chromebooks.”

Over 480 students benefit from using the donated technology to support their remote learning activities. The devices, as well as their protective cases, are essential to student success during this period of remote learning.

“As our local communities continue to work through the challenges associated with remote learning, Gumdrop will be there to support them at every stage,” said Portin.

Go Ahead. Gumdrop IT! Gumdrop’s heavy duty, durable cases take some of the stress out of the remote learning environment, by ensuring valuable technology will be damage-free and ready to use when needed. Eliminating the worry of tech issues allows the Virtual Learning Center staff to focus their attention on the most important thing: the students.

We couldn’t be more excited to support the YMCA, their Virtual Learning Centers and the awesome kids that use these services.
