Matt Laing

Channel Strategy Manager CDW

Matt joined Gumdrop in February 2025, bringing nearly two decades of experience working with education customers across the United States. Since 2005, he has focused his career on classroom technology, partnering with educators to drive positive student outcomes and meaningful learning experiences. Originally from Connecticut, Matt continues to reside along the state’s shoreline, where he is raising his family. Outside of work, he is a lifelong Yankees fan and rarely misses a chance to follow the team.

Kat Gamboa

Channel Enablement Manager Strategic Resellers

Kat joined Gumdrop in December 2025. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, she brings deep expertise in channel partnership relationships and driving go‑to‑market strategy. Kat currently resides in Texas and enjoys dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family. Dancing is her unofficial superpower — whether it’s salsa, two‑step, or anything with a good rhythm, she’s all in.

Eric Lugo

Senior EDU Territory Manager New England, Mid-Atlantic

Eric has been with Pioneer Square Brands since 2021 and has held several different sales and management positions in the company. Prior to joining, Eric has extensive channel and OEM experience working in a SLED capacity for Ingram Micro, Tech Data, HP and Toshiba. Eric brings a wealth knowledge to our business helping navigate through the complexities of the market while providing our customers with exemplary customer service.

Cat Baker

Education Territory Manager Southeast

Cat Baker joined Gumdrop in 2022. Since 2009, she has built her career in education—first as a teacher and later supporting customers across higher education and K–12. In these roles, she has focused on delivering effective solutions in courseware, software, and device protection. Before transitioning into education, Cat worked as a junior architect, collaborating with teams to design solutions tailored to client needs. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog and has a strong passion for design, art, fitness, and travel.

Joe Gonzales

Education Territory Manager Texas/Great Lakes

Joe Gonzales joined Gumdrop on February 2026, bringing nearly two decades of experience serving K–12 public education customers across the United States. Since 2007, Joe has focused on delivering technology hardware and device protection solutions, building strong, trusted relationships with many of the nation’s largest technology brands and reseller partners. Originally from Austin, Texas, Joe currently resides in Round Rock, Texas with his wife, three children, and their dog. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching his kids in baseball and softball and takes every opportunity he can to hunt. He is also a passionate fan of the Texas Longhorns, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys. Joe’s greatest passions are his faith, family, and friends, and he centers both his personal and professional life around these core values.

Ron Stake

Education Territory Manager West

Ron Stake joined Pioneer Square Brands in June 2022 and currently serves as the EDU Territory Manager for the western region, supporting schools and partners across his territory with a strong focus on customer relationships and solutions for education. Based in Austin, Ron brings a passion for building connections alongside his creative and hands-on hobbies outside of work. He enjoys photography, smoking authentic Texas-style meats, and spending time with his wife and their five rescue dogs.

Jonathan Szucs

OEM Account Executive

Jonathan Szucs is an OEM Account Executive at Gumdrop, where he focuses on building strong OEM partnerships and driving channel growth across the education and commercial markets. With 25 years of experience in the technology channel, he brings deep expertise across public sector, enterprise, and global sales, with a proven ability to build relationships, solve customer challenges, and deliver meaningful results. Based in Buffalo, NY, Jonathan lives with his wife of 22 years and their two children. Outside of work, he’s a dedicated Buffalo Bills fan, enjoys running (even in below 30-degree weather), attending live music, and spending time with his family.

Maria Samples

VP - Education Channel Sales

Maria Samples joined Gumdrop in December 2018 and brings over 30 years of experience in technology sales, specializing in channel development and the K-12 and Higher Education markets across the US. A two-time CRN Woman of the Channel honoree, she is recognized for her expertise in customer-focused leadership, C-level relationship management, and global contract negotiations with startup, high-growth, and Fortune 500 technology companies. Based in the Tampa area since childhood, Maria is married to her college sweetheart and is a proud mother to her high school senior son. Outside of work, she stays active in her community through church volunteer work and school advisory involvement, and enjoys sports and racing, even driving a stock car solo at Miami International Speedway.

Scott Divine

VP - Apple, Commercial, and Channel Sales

Scott Divine joined Gumdrop in November 2024 and currently leads the company’s Apple, commerical and channel sales teams. A seasoned sales and revenue leader, Scott brings more than 15 years of experience building high‑performing teams, scaling go‑to‑market strategies, and driving sustainable growth across consumer and B2B channels. Throughout his career, Scott has held senior leadership roles across technology, consumer products, and services organizations, with a strong focus on channel development, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence. He is known for aligning sales strategy with customer needs and for developing teams that consistently outperform market expectations. He lives in Madison, WI and enjoys reading, sailing, and the great outdoors.
